Would You Give Up 50% of Your Social Security Benefits?

I've recently spoken with several new clients about the areas of retirement planning, including Social Security Benefits.

They were not aware of the claiming strategies for Social Security. The "tax" for ignorance is high - up to 50% of the total available benefit could be forfeited.

When you add the penalties for taking early benefits, like reduced rates for the rest of one's life, the cost is literally in the hundreds of thousands of dollars for many.

Each situation is different and dependent on a number of variables, so there isn't a "One Size Fits All" recommendation.

So, if you, or someone you love, is about to start Social Security, please have them give me a call. A short call or meeting could be worth a lot of money to them.
